Our story
We started as the customer.
Great Cloud Holdings runs a portfolio of digital properties, and for years we bought hosting the way everyone does — a cheap first year, a renewal invoice that doubled, and a support queue staffed by people who could not log into the server. We moved hosts three times looking for something steadier.
Great Cloud Hosting is the version we wanted to buy. No promotional pricing that expires, no upsell maze, and support that can actually fix the problem. It explains the decisions that are otherwise hard to explain, including why we would rather tell you the smaller plan is enough.
Hosting is an unglamorous business built almost entirely on trust. You are handing a stranger the thing your work lives on. We took the job seriously enough to build the company around that fact rather than around a customer acquisition funnel.
How we operate

The price does not move
No promotional first year, so nothing expires. If our costs force a list price change, existing customers keep their rate for at least twelve months and hear it by email rather than by invoice.
Downtime gets reported
Incidents go on the service updates while they are happening, not after. Post-mortems say what broke and what we changed, including when the answer is that we made a mistake.
Support has server access
The person who replies to your ticket can log in and fix the problem. There is no first tier whose job is to send you a knowledge base article and close the thread.
Leaving is easy
Regular backups you can request and restore you can download at any hour, instant domain auth codes, no exit fee, and no retention call. We would rather earn the next month than trap you in it.

The platform underneath
We are honest about what we are.
Great Cloud Hosting is a managed reseller operation. We do not own the data centre, and we think you should know that rather than discover it.
What that means in practice. Your sites run on enterprise hardware in established third-party facilities, which we provision, monitor, secure, back up, and support. We buy capacity from operators whose scale we could not match on our own, and we put our name on the service, the response times, and the outcome. If something breaks at three in the morning, the person you reach works for us.

Great Cloud Hosting is wholly owned by Great Cloud Holdings, a privately held digital company that builds and operates a portfolio of online properties. Hosting is its infrastructure arm.

No venture funding and no outside investors, so pricing and support policy are set by the people who answer the tickets.

The holding company’s properties run here too. We notice problems as operators before we hear about them as a host.
